Bind off the remaining six stitches on your needle

Continue knitting by repeating the following pattern five times: for the first row, bind off six stitches and purl to the end. For the second row, knit one, make one, knit to the last stitch and turn your work.

Place the tape measure below your breasts, where the band of the bra sits. Extend the tape measure around your chest, keeping it level and tight to your ribcage.

Record the measurement in inches, rounding up to the nearest whole number. For example, 35.5 inches should be rounded up to 36 inches. If the measurement is an odd number, add five inches, and if the measurement is an even number, add four inches. This is your band size.

Hold the measuring tape across the nipple
